Our History

C. P. Niswonger began his service to the families of Deschutes County in 1911. The foundation that he built his reputation upon - total reliability - remains an integral part of Niswonger-Reynolds funeral Home's culture today.



The people at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home understand the needs of Central Oregon residents - after all, they're members of the community, too. Their combination of professional counseling and hometown understanding results in the finest service available.

Historic Niswonger Home Began as a Hall



C. P. Niswonger moved to Central Oregon in 1907, and started Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home in 1911. Read the full article published in The Bulletin on August 31, 1990.



Niswonger-Reynolds was sold to a New Orleans company during a time when large national chains had been buying up small, family-run funeral homes throughout the country.



In 2004, Jerome and Dawna Daniel published the announcement of their purchase of Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home - once again making Niswonger-Reynolds a family-owned funeral home.
