Kevin Korn - Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Kevin came to the Daniel Family of Funeral Homes as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in August of 2011. A native Oregonian, Kevin began his apprenticeship in Salem, Oregon and then attended the Mortuary Science Program at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. Kevin has served as a funeral director in the communities of Roseburg, Bandon, Eugene and more recently, Cottage Grove.

Within the funeral profession, he has served on the OFDA as a board member and president. In 2004, Kevin was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board, serving as president of that organization in 2011 & 2012. He has been involved in the Lions Club organization for over 30 years and finds great satisfaction in helping people regain their sight. Away from work, he enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorized and non-motorized bikes, skiing and spending time with family.

Kevin says, "In the funeral profession, it is an honor to serve the families we do at one of the worst times in their lives. Over the years, several long lasting friendships have evolved from that service. 

 

 

Madison "Maddy" Ostergren - Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Maddy came to the Bend Funeral Homes as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in May of 2022. She was born in Wisconsin and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota where she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science in 2018. There she started her career in the funeral service industry at various funeral homes around Saint Paul, MN.

 

Outside of work, Maddy enjoys international travel, spending time outdoors, exploring and getting to know the Deschutes County area, and trying out new local restaurants. She brought her cat, Moco, with her from Minnesota and plans to get a puppy in the future.
