Kevin Korn - Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Kevin came to the Daniel Family of Funeral Homes as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in August of 2011. A native Oregonian, Kevin began his apprenticeship in Salem, Oregon and then attended the Mortuary Science Program at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. Kevin has served as a funeral director in the communities of Roseburg, Bandon, Eugene and more recently, Cottage Grove.

Within the funeral profession, he has served on the OFDA as a board member and president. In 2004, Kevin was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board, serving as president of that organization in 2011 & 2012. He has been involved in the Lions Club organization for over 30 years and finds great satisfaction in helping people regain their sight. Away from work, he enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorized and non-motorized bikes, skiing and spending time with family.

Kevin says, "In the funeral profession, it is an honor to serve the families we do at one of the worst times in their lives. Over the years, several long lasting friendships have evolved from that service. Working with the family group that is led by Jerome & Dawna is extremely enjoyable."

Whitney Moore - Funeral Director Apprentice

Whitney Moore was born and raised in John Day Oregon. Graduating from Grant Union High School, she initially pursued a career in Forest Management. Having changed that direction, she has worked various jobs gaining a vast array of skills, backed by tremendous work ethic.

Whitney is now beginning her Funeral Service journey as our Apprentice, after walking into our office exclaiming “this was her true life calling!” She is driven, eager and excited; yet caring, thoughtful, and compassionate.

Having roots in Bend that go as deep as the Pine Tavern; Whitney states, “I am honored to have been given this opportunity at Niswonger-Reynolds. Paul Reynolds has laid away many of my cherished relatives and I feel privileged being able to serve this community with that same dignity, respect and love.”

Outside of work family is her priority. She has a daughter who is twelve and enjoys many hobbies and activities with her. She loves the outdoors, making Central Oregon a perfect fit for her. She is an asset to this company and community. The Daniel Family Funeral Homes are glad to have her.

Sally Smith - Administrative Assistant

Sally Smith is a Central Oregon kid, born in Bend and raised in Prineville. After graduating from high school, she attended college in Portland, and returned to Central Oregon, where she met her husband, Bill, who passed away several years ago. She has a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Being a Mom was the most wonderful experience she had until her grandchildren arrived. Now she has a new adventure to look forward to.

She has twenty plus years of business administrative experience. Sally joined Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home in 2012 and truly enjoys being able to help families in need of the Niswonger-Reynolds services.

She is a long-standing member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Some of her favorite things, other than her family, are reading on her deck in the Central Oregon sunshine, being a watercolor artist, and spending time with her 2 roomies, Ozzie and Domino, a Snoodle and Yorkie.
